My full name is Andrea Elizabeth Murphy Land. I was born and raised in Rochester, Minnesota with the exception of a two year stint my family did in Ridgefield, Connecticut (1983-1985). I graduated from John Marshall High School in 1996 and went on to attend the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. I graduated with a B.B.A. in Finance in 2000. I'm currently working as an accountant for the massive French "everything health care" company, Publicis.
Joshua's family hails from Missouri, although they've been living in Appleton, Wisconsin since the early 1990's. Josh graduated in 1995 from Appleton West and worked on his undergraduate degree in English at SEVERAL universities including Baylor (Waco, Texas) and UW-Madison before graduating from UW-Eau Claire in 2000. In May 2004 he graduated with an M.A. in Cinema Studies from NYU. Josh is a freelance copy editor currently working for The Village Voice, where he also gets to write for the Film section.
We got married on March 29, 2003 in a small ceremony in New York and continue to live in the area. We live in Astoria, Queens--for those unfamiliar with the layout of NYC, it's only three stops out of Manhattan, where we both work. As much as we miss our family and friends, we do love living here and hope to stay planted here for some time. We will spend much of our waking hours in October cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals and theKerry/Edwards ticket. This is just the beginning of our website as I, Andrea, am learning HTML as I go, but I thought I should get something up. Feel free to drop a note to speedyhead@aol.com <--Andrea's junk mailbox to say "Hi," or to let us know when you'll be in the area (or to let us know that you've found this little site---it may be some time before I (Andrea) can get a guestbook!) Regardless, it's alot better that paying $30 to some alumni site that is really just a marketing gimmick.
