The Empire State Model Mariners was established as a club, on January 29, 1988. At first we were simply a group of individuals, who got together occasionally on weekends to operate our boats. We formed ourselves into a small club, with getting together to run our boats as our only concern. Since that time we have grown in membership steadily, as well as our goals. We our now a full fledged not for profit organization devoted to not only the centuries old tradition of recreating scale models, but also to further the hobby of model ship building.
