The Vietnam War has never ended for me
I still fight the war in my sleep
Too many of our men fell
In those hot steamy jungles of hell
So I still fight the war in my sleep
The Vietnam war has never ended for me
I have kept the war and it's memories alive
For one of my friends is in a wheel chair
But neither of his legs are there
And he fights every day just to survive
Another friend walks with a cane
I have another friend who does his shooting with a needle
I have another friend who snorts cocaine

All trying to escape their Vietnam pain
No the Vietnam war has never ended
It will live on until the day I die
For you see I am that Vietnam Vet
And at night when I try to sleep
I still cry wanting to die
Just to make my Vietnam war go away!
