If we could do this over
we'd certainly get it right,
there would be such a reception
for each soldier that went to fight.
There are many things we're sorry for
and actions we regret,
our love and heartfelt thanks
go out to each Vietnam Vet.
Some were merely babies
when they laid their lives on the line
there were no ifs or maybes
they were proud to watch their country shine.
The conditions were unbearable
that these soldiers had to endure,
doing the best they were able
for our freedom to ensure.
So much of their blood was shed
unselfishly for me and for you
their courage was undoubtedly led
by the red, white and blue.
So please accept our apologies
to each branch and rank,
hopefully it won't be too late
to express our sincere thanks.
Here's to each and every soldier
performing your duty with little regret,
may God bless and keep
every single Vietnam Vet.

We cannot change what happened many years ago, but we can change what we do today. I am but one American that appreciates the Freedom I have and I am aware of the price that was paid for that Freedom. So, thank you to all of the Vietnam Vets.
Sincerely
