 Basalyga "Whiskey" Bill  EMAIL  Billy died on 11/24/01 from liver transplant surgery complications. Billy was with "B" Co. from March '67 to Apr '68 at Cua Viet. He served with Richie Haeg, Al Brown, Marty Johnson. Bill's wife, MARY writes "that she would like to 'talk' with any of the Marines who remember Billy." This is one of those entries that I pray will be seen by Bill's friends whom will be able to write and tell Mary anything about her wonderful husband that she may not already be aware of. RIP Bill and God Bless Mary!!!.    
 Folkerts, Marvin J. (M/Sgt.Ret)  EMAIL  These entries are so difficult to make but I just recently learned that Marvin passed away a couple of days ago (April 2005) RIP BROTHER ... Marvin was in the H-6 platoon at H & S Co. 1st Amtrac Bn, 3rd Mar. Div. in 1966. He picked up his H-6 brand new in late 65. There was a total of six at that time with two regular tractors for our fire direction control and radio operators. "I wish I knew anyone from that time.  Hussman, Kurt C. (L/Cpl)  EMAIL  I am looking for anyone who served with my brother, Kurt. He served in 1968 with the 3rd AmTracs, "B" Co, 1st PLT,1st Marine Division. He was killed November 25, 1968. Thank you, Jana Hussmann,   
 Johnson, James Peter  EMAIL  James was with 3rd Amtracs 1969. His Son Jerrald writes, "My Dad James Peter Johnson served in the Vietnam. He was in Vietnam in 1969 with the first marine division he was a 1833 amtrac crewman he also was a wireman. He died of a heart attack at the age of 41. If anyone knew him in the war or if anyone knows where i can find anymore info on where my Dad was at during the war please e mail me. thank you."   Leahy, Patrick Wm. (ladybug) (Sgt.)  EMAIL  "I'm writing on behalf of my wife's cousin, Sgt. Patrick Wm. (ladybug) Leahy, 2142 Track Vehicle Repairman, Bravo Co., 3rd Amtrac, 1st Marine Div. He served between 4/13/66 & 4/12/72 and had two tours in Viet Nam. I'm anxious to communicate with those who knew/served with him, RIP, Pat "
 Lohan, Bill (MSgt-Ret)  EMAIL  Bill served with 3rd Amtracs; "H&S" Co. from 1966-67 as Gunnery Sergeant/Bn S-5 Chief.  Martin, Joe  EMAIL  Joe was with 3rd Amtracs; "A" Co. He arrived at ChuLai in April 1966 and served as Platoon Sgt until he rotated back to the States Joe's son Mark Martin wrote and advised me that his Dad passed away on 11/22/06. Condolonces to him can be sent from this email address
 McQuillan, Frank P.  EMAIL  Frank P McQuillan was my brother. He served in the 1st Armored Amphib Co in Vietnam from March 68 to May 1969. He was in Company B, 11th Marines. He participated in Operations Highrise, Saline II, Napoleon, Kentucky and Marshall Mountain. He passed away on Fathers Day, 1985 from a drug overdose. He has a daughter that would love to hear from anyone that knew him. We have several photos of his group in a tent. We also have a wonderful series of photos of him standing on a pile of ammo crates, holding his helmet in his hand, with a rainbow falling into the helmet. It is a spectacular photo.  Smith, Charles R. (Jr.)(Col.-Ret.)  EMAIL  Captain Smith (Col-Retired) was with 3rd Amtrac Battalion and arrived in July of 1967 when the battalion was still at Freedom Hill with the Tank and Ontos Battalion. He relieved Capt. Dutch VanAntwerp as CO of "B" Co., however, this relief was delayed when he had to return home on Emergencey Leave. When he got back in late August Dutch had been killed. sent to Marble Mountain that day and relieved Capt. VanYankee the old EXO. He served as CO "B" Co until January 68 when Maj. Joe Mollineux relieved him and then became CO of H&S Co until September 1968. His Beloved Linda writes, "He was a wonderful Husband, Father, Grandfather, Friend, and Christian. He was loved by so many and loved them in return. He was faithful to complete every commitment he made. We will miss and Love him forever." You can reach Linda at this EMAIL address.
 Touart, Foster, J.G. (Tilly)  EMAIL  Tilly or Buddy who was called by his family was KIA 09-06-67 in Cua Viet. Sharon Touart Crim, Tilly's sister is looking for anybody out here who may have served with him. GOOD LUCK Sharon and be well!   
 Woodward, Claude Cecil, Jr.  EMAIL  Woody was with 3rd Amtracs; "A" Co.  Sadly, Woody is no longer with us and his Nephew writes: "My uncle Claude Cecil Woodward, Jr. (known in Viet. as "Woody" and to us as "Bo") was in Co. "A" 3rd Amtrac Bn. 1st Mar. Div. Not sure when he was "in country" but the earliest date on his DD214 is 8/28/1967 and the last is 9/5/1970. I know he was wounded during his second tour when his trac ran over a mine I contacted a few folks back in 2000, but kinda fell outta the loop since then.
